Charles Arthur Hammonds Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Arthur Hammonds of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, who passed away on February 21, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Hammonds and Pearl Hammonds (Duff); and his siblings, Jim, Bob, Carl, Sam, Billy Ray Hammonds and Bea Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his children, Timothy Charles Hammonds of New Orleans, LA and Jenny Hovatter (Ed) of Ohio; and his sisters, Anita Branham (Donnie) of Winchester, KY, Macile Kurocka (Andrew) of Louisiana and Margaret Hammonds of Whitesburg, KY. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
With the mandate issued by the state of Indiana limiting gatherings to 50 people, we welcome friends to pay respects while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard through the funeral home.
