He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Benjamin and Melvie Hempstead (Smith); and his sister Tammy Durham. He is survived by: his wife Robin Ann Gault; his son Brian Edward Hempstead Jr. (Hollie Shaw) of North Vernon; his siblings, Robert Allen Hempstead Jr. (Tammy) of Columbus and Cheryl Wade of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Isaak Hempstead of Triangle, Virginia of North Vernon, Serenity Shaw of North Vernon and Michael Alan Shaw of North Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Brian through the funeral home to Blue Tassel Farms, American Cancer Society or American Liver Foundation.
