She was predeceased by: her parents, Tuck Brown and Edna Earl Causey Brown. She is survived by: her husband Billy L. Askew of North Vernon, Indiana.; her sons, Randy Askew (Gloria) of Hamilton, GA, David Askew of Cordele and Greg Askew (Rica) of North Vernon, Indiana.; her sister-in-law Nora Henegar of Leesburg, GA.; and her grandchildren, Steven Askew, Heather Askew McMonagle, J. R. Askew Jr., Amberly Nicole Askew, Tyler Lawrence Askew, Alyssa McNiel, Micah McNiel, Taylor Mothersole, Caleb Tucker and Logan Daniel Askew.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church, P.O. Box 641 Americus, GA 31709.
