She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Mason and Anna M. Mason (Wilhoit); her husband Richard "Dick" Edwin Brooks; her brother William Edward Mason; and her son-in-law James Love.
She is survived by: her children, David Allen Brooks (Nancy) of Bedford and Diana Lynn Love of North Vernon; her grandchildren, Chelsea Brooks of Bedford, Trisha Kinser (Robbie) of Bedford, Tyra Griffin (Dustin) of Columbus and Mason Love (Kelsei) of North Vernon; her great grandchildren, Ethan Jarvis (Heather), Remi Love, Darian Miller (Sam), Leeanna Hoover, Weston Love, Waylon Toliver, Kaley Ernstes, Ela Kinser, Lain Ernstes, Lainey Kinser, Brooklynn Wilkerson, Colton Kinser, Jake Love of Clara Bertola, M. J, Cooley, Brayden Griffin, Chesney Griffin, Carter Griffin and Alana Griffin; and her great great grandchildren, Hunter, Maddox, Berkley, Payton and Hudson. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at the Graham Baptist Cemetery (2645 S County Rd 600 E, Butlerville, IN 47223).
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Barbara through the funeral home to the Autism Science Foundation.
