She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Hillen and Victoria Hillen (Dlugos); her husband Kenneth Matern; her daughters, Margaret, Martha and Loretta Ann Matern; her grandchildren, Evan Allan Capes and Asa Ramey; and her siblings, Frank, Leo Hillen, Madonna Hillen, Mary Jane Pollard and Catherine Hoffman.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Capes (Brian) of North Vernon, Ellen Capes (Kevin) of North Vernon, Allan Matern of North Vernon and Glen Matern (Shannan) of North Vernon; her grandchildren, Nicole Carter, Katelyn Meadows, Mallory Liston, Bridgett Jagger, Kenny Matern, Korbyn Matern, Todd Capes, Daniel Capes, Adam Capes and Matthew Capes; and her stepgrandchildren, Taylor Ramey, Alex Ramey, Logan Goff and Kohl Goff. She is also survived by Twelve great grandchildren.
