Richard Shepherd Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Shepherd (North Manchester, Indiana), who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ellis and Blanche Edith Shepherd (Spicer); his wife Rosalee E. Lofland; his daughter Ena Elizabeth "Beth" Shoemaker; his siblings, George "Buddy" Thomas Shepherd, James "Jim" Shepherd, Georgia Poore, Edith Dueringer, Ena Shepherd and Anita Kenny; and his grandsons, Steven Michael Wolfe and Kristopher Corridan Shepherd.
He is survived by: his close friend Ron Miller; his children, Gene Shepherd (Martha), Chris Shepherd (Kelly) and Lorene Dotson (Silver Lake); and his brother John "Jack" Shepherd (Joan). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bippus Calvary Church (7925 N 900 W, Huntington, IN 46750).
