He was predeceased by: his parents, Talman DeLaughter and Thelma DeLaughter (Secrist); his wife Valeria Layne; his son Anthony "Tony" DeLaughter; and his sisters, Darlene Maroney, Carolyn Maroney and Barbara Slater.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy DeLaughter (Michelle) of Camp Lejeune and Tana Lehr (Darin) of Delphi; his daughter-in-law Kelly DeLaughter; and his siblings, Talman DeLaughter of Iowa, Connie Gottschalk (Joe) of Columbia City and Janice Gerardot of Claypool. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
