He is survived by: his mother Marylou Nichols (Kring) of North Liberty; his wife Angela Nichols (Blakley); his children, Mollie Nichols (Kenny) of North Liberty, Rodger Nichols Jr. of North Liberty and Holly Nichols (Miguel) of South Bend; his stepchildren, Sara Conner (Jon), James Krout (Ashley), Kyla Krout (Cody), Kyle Krout (Caitlin) and Melissa Hoops (Luke); and his grandchildren, Tony "Tbone", Anika, Nick, Benny, Kali, Eric, Miguel, Jaziel, Dalilah, Isaiah, Robby, Myla, Aiden, Alexia, Dreyden, Christian, Casen, Genesis, Michael and Dalton.
