He was predeceased by: his brother Melvin Ray; and also, John Shelton, Elvis Jones and Justine Jones. He is survived by: his spouse Sherry Kay Jones; his children, Kay M. Zakes (John) of Mill Creek, Catherine Seymour (Douglas) of La Porte and Cortney L. Ray of La Porte; his granddaughters, Kelly Hawkins (Larry), Jillian Shelton, Julie Bannwart (Justin) and Courtney Lynn Ray; his great grandchildren, Isabelle Hawkins, Kathlene Hawkins, Cole Shelton, Layke Bannwart, Lyla Bannwart and Chase Shelton; and his brothers, Norman Ray of La Porte, Raymond Ray (Brenda) of Riverdale, GA and Richard Ray (Marleen) of North Port, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
