He was predeceased by: his parents, Jurge Tripenfeldas and Elze Lobina Tripenfeldas; his wife Carol Greer; and his siblings, Edwin Tripenfeldas, Al Tripenfeldas, Emil Tripenfeldas and Mary Piechna.

He is survived by: his sons, John Emil, Keith and Steve; his granddaughter Sydney Tripenfeldas; his great grandchild Toby Tripenfeldas; and his sisters, Selma Carmichael and Carol Tripenfeldas (Elena Bertulis).
