He was predeceased by: his father Orville Sparks; his brother Rodney Sparks; and his grandson Gatlin Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Christina Sparks; his children, Dexter R. Sparks Jr. (Chelsi) of Plymouth and Cassandra Nichole Sparks (Jake Kuskye) of Etna Green; his siblings, Ed Sparks (Pam) of Walkerton and Lora Clemons (Lenner) of Bourbon; his mother Mary Ann Wheeler of Knox; and his grandchildren, Aspen Sparks, Serenity Sparks, Wilder Sparks, Brooklynn Blount, Leland Sparks and Chaslynn Kuskye.
