He was predeceased by: his mothers, Donna Minix and Tressie Minix (Lovely); his wife Thelma Smith; his daughter Cindy Palmer Fletcher; and his siblings, Marvin, Stanley Minix, Betty Jean Sowards, Eileen Wireman and Laurren Minix.
He is survived by: his son Curtis Minix (Sarah) of Culver. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren.
