He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Nathan and Stella Mikels Charles; and his brothers, Robert Charles, Monta Charles and Ted Charles.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Sidle; his children, Joyce Ann Fish (Mike) of Lebanon, Indiana, Thomas Dale Charles (Meshiel) of Newburgh and Timothy A. Charles (Pamela) of Norman, Indiana; his grandchildren, James Nance III, Nicolas Nance (Christel), Allen Fish, Brittany Gunter (Dustin), Ashley Saxton (Jason) and Tyler Charles; and his sisters, Betty Smith, Myrtle Edwards, Carol Nowland and Pat Hanner. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, private funeral services for Rev. Thomas Charles, Jr. will be conducted at Kurtz Cemetery on Saturday, December 5, 2020, with Floyd Fisher officiating.

Memorials may be given to Kurtz Nazarene Church.
