He is survived by: his wife Debra Abel (Deitz); his children, Bryan Abel (Angie) of Nineveh and Angie Kelley (Joe Fuchs) of Jeffersonville; his stepson James Von Fange (Jessica) of Columbus; his siblings, David Abel (Elsie) of Florissant, Phil Abel (Pam) of Mississippi, Kay Dunn (Doug) of Columbus and Joyce Smith (Kent) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Hayden, Wendi, Christopher, Sheldon, Drako, Jeremy, Ashlee, Cody, Jacob, Bethany, Kaleb, Morgan and Gabby; and his great grandchildren, Michael, Leia, Allison, Ella and Cicilia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
