He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel J. Hignight, and Russell Hignight, Sr.; and his siblings, Jeannette Hignight, Dennis and Richard Hignite.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Long (Darrin) and Daniel Hignight (Tricia); his grandchildren, Ali Henry (Jimmy), Hannah Long, Megan Hignight and Jackson Long; and his nephew Hunter Hignight.
