He was predeceased by: his parents, David Gerber and Alberta Gerber (Brantlinger); his parents-in-law, Darrell and Shirley McConnell; and his brother-in-law David A. McConnell.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey L. Gerber (Tammy), Matthew S. Gerber (Kristin) and Michael A. Gerber; his grandchildren, McKenzie Jackson (Tyler), Kennedy Gerber, Kendall Gerber, Evan Gerber and Grant Gerber; his great grandchild Conner Jackson; his sisters, Roxanne Gerber and Tammy Eller; and his siblings-in-law, Robin Keith and Steve McConnell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
