He is survived by: his wife Susan Beard (Huber); his son Tyler Smith; his daughter-in-law Allison Smith; his grandsons, Gavin, Everett, Corbin and Grant Richard; his nieces, Pam Bailey, Paula Kelly and Linda Morgan; his nephew Todd Beard; his son Rick; and his pets, Puddles, Maxi and Riley.
