He was predeceased by: his parents, James Covert and Jeanette Covert; and his brother James Covert (Denise). He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Shimer (Scott) and Keith Covert (Mandy); his wife Diane Covert (Ostheimer); his children, David (Sara), Abby Gardner (Chris), Joshua and Jacob; and his grandchildren, Chloe and John.
