He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Jackson and Dorothy Mae Jackson (Bratcher); and his sisters, Pat Slatton, Betty James and Gloria Jackson (Dodie).

He is survived by: his wife Linda "Irene" Jackson; his children, Elizabeth Jackson (Steve) and Robert Jackson Jr. (Julie); his grandchildren, Jacob, Ashley and Marissa Jackson; his brother Michael E. Jackson (Bonnie); and his nephews, Mike Jackson, Dr. Steed Jackson, Billy James and Aaron Slatton.
