He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Joseph; and his daughter Katrina Bateman. He is survived by: his wife Kate Fischer (Wright); his children, Sarah Gaddy (Steve), Heather Nance (Mark), Joseph Fischer (Falen) and Courtney Prince (Curtis); his grandchildren, Aidan Nance, Eva Mann and Cooper Prince; and his brothers, David Fischer (Pat), Mark Fischer and Dan Fischer (Yvette).
