Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jennie Lamont of Newburgh, Indiana, born in Carmi, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 91, on August 18, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Whitsitt and Clara Whitsitt (Ude); her husband Percy Lamont; and her siblings, Junior, Chester, Lester, John, William, Elizabeth and Kenny Whitsitt.
She is survived by: her children, Dinah Washum (John), Lisa Lamont of Newburgh, IN and Stacy Lamont (Dorothy) of Christmas, FL; and her sister Frances Whetstone of Carmi. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jennie's memory to Emmanuel Church, 203 Edgewood Lane, Carmi, IL 62821 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is assisting the family with arrangements.
