He is survived by: his wife Michele; his daughters, Amy De La Cruz (Javier) and Molly Adams; his granddaughter Olivia De La Cruz; his sister Karen Dawson (Jim); his nephew Gene Dawson (Angie); his niece Jamie Dawson; his great-nephew Bryant Dawson (Andrea); his great-nieces, Tara Gilreath (Corey) and Macie Dawson; and also Hayes Dawson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to It Takes A Village No Kill Rescue or University of Evansville Basketball Program.
