He was predeceased by: his father Chester I. Staples; his wife Barbara Staples (Kissel); his sister Bonnie Staples; and his brother-in-law Bryan Hill. He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Bertie Gerling (Bill) of Newburgh and Deb Schroeder (Keith) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Allison Engelbrecht (JP), Ashley Hills (Aaron) and John Schroeder (Amy); and his sisters, Jennie Hill and Joanie Phillips (Jack). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
