He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Gary Stroud, Sr. and Pauline Fuchs (Johnson); and his siblings, Donna Shemwell, Michael Stroud and Donald "Little Donald" Stroud.

He is survived by: his wife Lisa Stroud (Bufkin); his children, Aaron Stroud, Dottie Thomas (Jeff), Renea Blackburn (Jacob), Brandy Sievers (Andy), Courtney Schenk (Casey) and Kaci Billman (Blake); his grandchildren, Amanda Harris (Shedrique), Gavin Blackburn, Deacon Sievers, Corie Schenk, Carlee Schenk, Brooks Billman and Conway Billman; his great grandchildren, Ravyn and Aria; and his brothers, Alan Stroud, Denny Stroud and Tim Stroud (Angie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Boone Funeral Home (5330 Washington Ave, Evansville, IN 47715). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
