She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Haywood and Dorothy Naomi Haywood (Hall). She is survived by: her husband Max Townsend; her children, Brian, Tim and Dorothy Townsend; her grandchildren, Danny Townsend, Jason Townsend, Eric Townsend, Leon Townsend, Sierra Townsend, Delaine Brown and Delisa Hintz; and her brother Keith Haywood. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Scotland Cemetery in Karen's name.
