He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alden and Esther Alden (Booth); and his siblings, Sarah Root, John Alden Jr. and Booth Alden.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Alden of New Whiteland; and his children, Rodger Alden Jr. of Indianapolis, John Alden of Poland, Eugene Alden (Sue) of Bargersville, Paul Alden (Rebecca) of Indianapolis, Terry Alden (Paula) of Florida, Priscilla Alden (Tom Hinds) of Indianapolis, Elizabeth Bibb (Eugene) of Greenwood and Jasmin Fordyce (Keith) of New Whiteland. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
