He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Kemp and Alda Kemp (East); his grandson Donald Eugene Compton Jr.; his nephew Joe Lee Young; and his brother-in-law Edgar Stumler.
He is survived by: his siblings, Edna Stumler of Floyd Knobs, IN and Larry Kemp (Myra) of Mascoutah, IL; his stepdaughter Tammy Harris (Larry) of New Salisbury, IN; his granddaughter Sarah Berry of Ramsey, IN; and his great grandchild Elizabeth Berry. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Leavenworth Fire Department in Garry's honor.
