He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Shewmaker and Edna Best Shewmaker; his sons-in-law, Darrell Lowe, Sr. and Jim McInnis; his granddaughter Sarah Jameson; his great grandchild Taylor Jones; and his siblings, Wayne, Joe, Pete, Bob Shewmaker, Lucille Hendricks, Mary Carroll and Helen Shewmaker.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Lowe of New Salisbury, Deborah McInnis of Ness City, Sherri Weippert of Garden City and Anita Burditt (Keith) of Ness City, Kansas; and his sister Julia Baker of Corydon. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
