Paul G. Shirk Sr. Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul G. Shirk Sr. of New Paris, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Paul G. Shirk Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Shirk and Annie Shirk (Garman); his former wife Lydia Shirk (Weaver); his sons, Eugene, Nelson and Raymond Shirk; and his siblings, Levi Shirk, Phares Shirk and Lena Shirk.

He is survived by: his wife Berdine Ramer Shirk (Martin); his sons, Paul W. Shirk (Rosene) and Larry W. Shirk (Esther Mae); his stepchildren, Stephen Ramer (Shirleen), Rodney Ramer (Sharon), Mark Ramer (Jolinda) and Cheryl Stoltzfus (Luke); his siblings, Amos Shirk, Mary Newswanger (Levi), Martha Shirk, John Shirk (Verna), Joseph Shirk (Emma) and Anna Hoover (Mervin); and his sisters-in-law, Alta Shirk and Magdalena Shirk. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 22 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yellow Creek Reception Center (64784 Co Rd 11, Goshen, IN 46526). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church (65081 Co Rd 11, Goshen, IN 46526).
