He is survived by: his brother Oren Goppert (Sallie); his nephews, Garrett Goppert of New Paris, Ian Goppert of New Paris and Jackson Goppert of New Paris; and his grandmother Roberta Plank of Goshen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Elkhart Hospice House.
