He was predeceased by: his parents, Isom Cox and Dottie Cox (Adams); his former wife Bonnie Cox (Larrabee); his son Rickey Cox; his stepson Michael Romeril; and his siblings, Thelma Parker and Sherman Cox.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Joan "Joni" Romeril-Cox; his wife Joni of New Palestine; his children, Mitchell Cox (Cathy) of Fishers, Kamie Welfl (Michael) of Greenfield and Kari Walden (Steve) of Greenfield; his daughter-in-law Barbara Cox of Indianapolis; his stepchildren, Holly Burton (Michael) of Indianapolis and Jeffery Romeril (Michelle) of Fortville; and his siblings, Eva Neel of Shelbyville, Ike Cox of Indianapolis, Frederick Cox of Florida, Della "Lindy" Shaw of Florida and Constance "Connie" Reberger of Florida. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; many great and step-great grandchildren.
