She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Guffey and Ova Guffey; and her husband Clenton Howard. She is survived by: her children, Donald Howard (Kim), Ralph Howard (Diane), Thomas Howard, Carolyn Howard (Lisa) and Jackie Howard (Phaedra); her grandchildren, Paige, Deanne, Brian, James, Christopher, Emma, Ryan, Daniel, Kyle, Bradley, Jared and Jeniece; and her siblings, Ada, Lena Rose and James. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
