She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Harvey and Beulah Harvey; her former husband Charles Lynam Jr.; her sister Blanche James; her son Joseph Lynam; her stepson Paul Douglas Newkirk; and her son-in-law Larry Crump Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Paul Newkirk of New Palestine; her daughters, Sharon Marie Lynam of Indianapolis, Janis Lynam of Indianapolis, Diane Hoskins of Wilkinson, Kelley Werner (Todd) of Carmel and Paula Miller of Muncie; and her sister Joanne Young (Richard) of Indianapolis. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
