He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis McAtee and Delores McAtee. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Kelly McAtee; his sons, Charles McAtee (Dawn) and Sam McAtee; his grandchildren, Tanner McAtee, Tait McAtee, Ali Rambo (Adam), Cory Popplewell (Megan), Matt McAtee (Jessica), Andrew McAtee and Audrey McAtee; and his brother David McAtee (Susie).

Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel (4925 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
