He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Sweeney; his wife Nancy Sweeney; and his brother Mike Sweeney. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Sweeney (Bartholomew); his daughter Kristie Ruling (Darrin); his sisters, Maureen Sweeney and Carrie Lamb (Scott); his sister-in-law Kathy Sweeney; and his grandchildren, Chloe and Cailyn Ruling. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Brookville Road Community Church (7480 W U. S. 52, New Palestine, IN 46163).
