He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Burford (Butler); and his children, Laura Claypool (Rick) of New Haven, Kathleen Thatcher (Lew) of Stowe, VT and Donald Burford (Shannon) of New Haven. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
