He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewald Schroeder and Lula Schroeder (Redmon); and his wife Jerry Ann Arnett. He is survived by: his children, Joe Harding (Donna) of Albion, Justin Harding (Rebecca) of Fort Wayne and Karen Gall (Jim) of Monroeville. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
