He was predeceased by: his father Charles Quandt; his wife Phyllis Muriel Meade; his daughter Ruth Ann Quandt; his daughter-in-law Yiordana "Dona" Quandt; and his siblings, Carl Quandt, Herrold Quandt and Hulda Stuerzenberger.

He is survived by: his sons, James Quandt of Fort Wayne and Thomas Quandt (Cheryl) of Fort Wayne.
