She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Long and Gladys Long (Sipe); her husband Melvin Bruick; her siblings, Elmer Long and Ruby Norris; and her great grandchild Keya Bruick.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Bruick (Sue) of New Haven, Sandra Scheumann of Monroeville, Jack Bruick (Susan) of New Haven and Linda Shindeldecker (Larry) of Florence, KY; and her sisters, Mary Clendenen of Fort Wayne and Marjorie Norton of Waynedale. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
