He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Todd Paterson and Cathy Cooper (Douglas); his grandchildren, Amanda Mattingley (Bill) and Bradley Cooper; and his sisters, Marie Melcher and Barbara Rainey.
Preferred memorials are to Central Lutheran School or Emanuel Lutheran Church.
