He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph L. Shipley and Elenora Sophia Shipley (Stellhorn); his son Harold Duane Shipley; his granddaughter Natassja Shipley; and his siblings, Richard Shipley, Sharon Bunnell and Norma Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Cara Jane Shipley; his children, Angela A. Fahl (Brian) of Clarksville, TN, Norman K. Shipley of New Haven and Sidney K. Shipley (Denise) of Fort Wayne; and his brother Steven W. Shipley (Kim) of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-granddaughters.
Memorials may be given to the East Central Fire & EMS in New Haven.
