He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Madden and Thelma Madden (Darling); and his wife Helen Maxine Madden. He is survived by: his children, Diana Rumsey of Orland, Christina Vardaman of Woodburn, Marcia Smith (Donald) of Maui, HI, Roger Madden (Maureen) of Laotto and Mark Madden (Meg) of Yoder. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers preferred memorials to Harlan United Methodist Church and Harlan Christian Youth Center.
