She is survived by: her children, Gary Kantz (Beth) of New Haven and Diane Byrd (Jim) of Livermore, CA; her sister Ruth De Freeuw of South Bend; her grandchildren, Justin Kantz (Alanna), Jared Kantz (Sarah) and Christy Byrd; and her great grandchild Dawson Kantz.

Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer's Association.
