He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Stern and Julia Stern (Scherretz); and his son Mikel Brian Stern. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his son Timothy Stern (Kathleen); and his grandsons, Grant Mikel and Austin James Stern.
