He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brumley and Lilly Brumley (Jones); his daughter Leisa Brinson (Brumley); his grandson Nathan Blevins; and his siblings, James Brumley, Junior Brumley, Pauline Brown (Brumley) and Robert Evertt Brumley.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Brumley (Gregory); his children, JoAnn Stomm (Mike), Bob Brumley (Amy) and Jeannie Kline (Oscar); and his grandchildren, Heather Downs (Jason), Nick Barber (Kim), Tia Blevins, Casey Bevans (Jason), Rusty Asberry (Hannah), Dusty Asberry (Megan), Kaylie Bray, Cara Litten (Adam) and Daren Brumley.
