He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Scott Rains (Maggie), Jeff Rains (Karen), Missy Jacobs (Tom) and Alicia DeFrancesco (Nick); and his stepchildren, Cindy Pendlum (Roger), Deborah Colip (Charles), Michael Pierson (Rebecca), Richard Pierson (Judy), Randall Pierson (Toni) and James Pierson (Joy).
