He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Raymond, Sr. Pavy; his parents-in-law, Donald and Mildred McCoy; his brother-in-law William "Bill" Walker; and his nephew-in-law James Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Karen L. Pavy; his children, Sam Pavy and Dr. Dori Ditty-Phillips (John); his sister Betty J. Walker; his brother-in-law David McCoy (Jan); and his nieces and nephews, Bill Walker (Cheryl), Dr. Paul Walker (Kathy), Janice Martin-Lozier (Tom), Chad McCool (Alyssa) and Shawn McCool (Tonya). He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Community Foundation-Ray Pavy Scholarship, Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, IU Athletics or New Castle Trojan Athletics.
