He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Atkinson and Opal Atkinson (Lee); his wife Lea Atkinson; and his siblings, Villa Williams, Eugene Atkinson and Mildred Atkinson.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Jeaneen Guffey), Shawn Atkinson (Audrey), Shannon Massengale and Tammy Wolf Reed (Rob); his grandchildren, Kyle Atkinson (Courtney Wiese), Tristan Massengale, Leland Massengale, Dakota Atkinson, Kolby Atkinson and Tyler Reed; his great grandchildren, Laine and Jackie Wiese Atkinson; and his nephews, Bo and Stevie Atkinson.
