He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Atkinson and Opal Atkinson (Lee); his wife Lea Atkinson; and his sister Villa Williams. He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Jeaneen Guffey), Shawn Atkinson (Audrey), Shannon Massengale and Tammy Wolf Reed (Rob); his grandchildren, Kyle Atkinson (Courtney Wiese), Tristan Massengale, Leland Massengale, Dakota Atkinson, Kolby Atkinson and Tyler Reed; his great grandchildren, Laine and Jackie Wiese Atkinson; and his nephews, Bo and Stevie Atkinson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
