He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Godby and Ann Godby (Sexton); his brother Terry Godby; and his grandmother Louise Flynn. He is survived by: his wife Bobbi Godby; his children, Sherry Hurt of Indianapolis, Christy Knotts (Lance) of Wichita, KS and Jennifer McMahon (Will) of San Jose, CA; his grandchildren, Darius Thomas (Danielle), Deandre, Demetrius Hurt, Shelby Gruver (Jimmy), Drew and Carter Knotts; his great grandchildren, Jalen, Mia, Kaison and Shia; and his brother Tim Godby.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Guest House where he volunteered, 1407 Walnut Street, New Castle, Indiana.
