He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Leo and Mary Schetgen (Wesling); his wife Doris Schetgen; his son Steven Schetgen; his in-laws, Roy and Dorthy Davis; his brother-in-law Jamie Davis; his siblings, Joesph, Peter Francis, Mary Ann, Rose, Agnes and Theresa; his niece Deneen Riley; and his daughter-in-law Beverly Schetgen.
He is survived by: his daughter Jan Benematti (Brent); his grandchildren, Aaron Schetgen (Lorri), Matthew Schetgen, Ashley Rainer (Tyron), Charissa Robinson (Casey), Kendra Bradley (Mike), Brent Benematti (Kenzi McCormick), Yvette Maxwell (Joey) and Jessica McCorkle; his siblings-in-law, Phillip Davis and Shelby Jean Rice; his friends, Brenda and Ronnie Fultz; and his caregivers, Angie Wilson and Yvette Maxwell. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
